About Dr. Tshilidzi Rachel Nevhutanda

Dr. Tshilidzi Rachel Nevhutanda is a respected academic, counsellor, author, and prophetic voice with decades of experience in nursing, ministry, community empowerment, and gender-based violence advocacy. She is widely recognised for her passionate work supporting abused women, promoting ethical leadership, and equipping churches to provide compassionate care. She currently serves as the Deputy President of the Independent Christian Council of South Africa (ICCSA) and holds a PhD in Community Nursing from North-West University, specialising in faith-based support for survivors of intimate partner violence. Dr. Rachel also holds advanced qualifications in nursing, theology, counselling, and leadership development, and is a registered Counsellor Specialist with the Council for Counsellors South Africa. Throughout her career, Dr. Rachel has held leadership roles in healthcare education, government training programmes, and community development initiatives, with a strong focus on empowering vulnerable communities and addressing gender-based violence. She is the author of The Plight of a Pastor’s Wife: Shattering the Silence, Restoring the Soul, a book that draws from her academic research, ministry experience, and passion for supporting women in ministry. Dr. Rachel is dedicated to transforming lives through faith, knowledge, and compassionate care, guided by her motto: “Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice.”
